Our Staff


Tracey is the Owner and Manager of Journeys Aviation at Boulder Municipal Airport. He is an FAA Gold Seal instructor with over 19 years of flying experience. Prior to making a career change in 2004, Tracey performed project planning and management for completion of environmental remediation projects at private and government operated industrial facilities. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Marketing Consultant

Karen has been in marketing for over 20 years. She has worked for two Chambers of Commerce and her last full time position was with the Denver Regional Council of Governments. Karen is now “retired” but does the Journeys Journal Monthly Newsletter and also walks dogs part-time.


Paula Dicharry manages the accounting function for Journeys Aviation and processes membership enrollments and changes, payroll, and general bookkeeping. Paula earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M University and enjoys her newest role in aviation and education. Paula is the mother of four children and enjoys running, cycling, cross-country skiing and backpacking. Stop by when you have time as she would love to meet you. Front Desk/Line Services

Justin is involved in running the day-to-day operations at the FBO. He is currently working toward his Commercial Pilot Certificate while majoring in Air Traffic Control at Metropolitan State University of Denver. His love for the outdoors drew him to move to Colorado after finishing high school in St. Louis, Missouri. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, skiing in the winter while climbing and hiking during warmer months. Justin aspires to begin a life-long career in aviation, his number one passion in life, by becoming a CFI once his Commercial Certificate is completed.

General Operations

Ryan has been employed with Journeys Aviation since 2010 and oversees general operations. In addition to his enlistment in the United States Navy (USS America CV-66), Ryan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University in 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2013. He holds a Private Pilot Certificate and plans on adding an Instrument rating in the near future.
